Introducing Kaomoji Kuma and me, Kikki.
Hello, my name is Kitty, and I’m a huge fan of using Kaomoji! Have you heard of this word before? It’s a word to describe emoticons, or emojis that resemble faces and other things. The word “Kaomoji” is Japanese and means ”face mark”. Each Kaomoji is made up of letters, symbols and even numbers sometimes. ミ=͟͟͞͞(✿ʘ ᴗʘ)っ🗡 Welcome! ʕ·ᴥ·ʔ
A bit about me, I’m hoping to become a graphic designer and also web designer. I’m a huge fan of Japan and and it’s culture, I got into using Kaomoji while chatting with friends on Discord and WhatsApp.
Using Kaomoji seems to have spread to people from all over the world, which is great as Japanese emoticons are so much fun and so expressive of very specific feelings and situations. They go far beyond the standard emoji that are included on iPhones or Android devices. Not only are they expressive but you can easily create your own special and personal Kaomoji.
Now about this website. I wanted to make an online library or database of Kaomoji that I can add to and organise into categories for quick copy pasting into my chats. After compilling all of the Kaomiji I liked the most, I realised that this website would be cool for others to use too. I realise there are plenty of websites offering a similar service, athough I feel like Kaomoji Kuma is a nice addition with some extra features.
I decided to call this website ”Kaomoji Kuma” seeing as Kuma is in a lot of my usernames online, you see I really love bears, ”Kuma” is the Japanese word for bear. Rilakkuma is my no. 1 favourite bear. With my name starting with K it also made a lot of sense (to me anyway).
A few features you can find on Kaomoji Kuma are:
➊ Easy to navigate menu on the left with a mobile version.
❷ A simple but cute colour scheme that is easy to view.
❸ A large but not endless selection of Kaomoji.
❹ A click to copy to clipboard function.
❺ A ”notepad” that visitors can paste Kaomojis into, make new ones and copy to their chats. This notepad remembers your work and is only cleared when you clear your browser cookies.
❻ Some cool text generators and font generators.
I will continue to add features and update the library of Kaomojis when they become available. I’m not one for sharing any personal info online so I don’t have a personal account for you to follow, but I created Follow a Facebook page and a Twitter page so far that I will also post updates to. Please follow those if you like!
